Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which stories are read, how readers find us and which pages need work. It records information such as pages viewed, approximate location at country or city level, device and browser type, and the site that referred you. We do not run advertising, we do not use analytics for ad personalization, and we do not sell data.
Readers in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked first. Until you accept, Google Analytics runs in a restricted mode that sets no analytics cookies. Elsewhere, analytics is on by default and you can turn it off at any time.
Your choice is stored in your browser. You can also block analytics with a browser extension or Google’s opt-out add-on ↗. Google’s handling of this data is described in How Google uses information from sites that use its services ↗.
Saved headlines
There is no member account or newsletter form. Saved headlines are stored in your browser using localStorage and can be removed by clearing website data.
Links, embeds and hosting
Links to publishers, video platforms and social networks open those services, which have their own privacy policies. Embedded third-party image thumbnails may make requests to the hosting platform when the page loads. Our hosting provider processes technical request logs to operate and secure the site.
The publisher should add a privacy contact address before public launch.
