News is an event. Consequences are the story.
Unfinished News follows the major U.S. and international developments through their evidence, context, claims, unresolved questions and outcomes.
One record, three questions
Before. What is supported by the earlier public record? Now. What happened and who reports it? Next. Which decision, measurement, or deadline will show what followed?
Sources and automated headlines
The automated edition collects attributed headlines from publicly accessible feeds. A headline alone is not independent verification, original reporting, or evidence of its stated consequences. Original source links remain accessible. We do not reproduce entire articles from originating publishers.
Numbers in perspective
Define unfamiliar acronyms and technical terms on first use. Every statistic must identify the measure, relevant population and period, a meaningful source-verified comparison, the difference in appropriate units, and why that comparison matters. There is no invented universal target for unemployment, inflation or other indicators. A missing comparison or insufficient evidence is a reason to hold an article, not to fill it with generic language.
Permanent news archive
The homepage prioritizes the newest approved reporting. When the current edition reaches its limit, older published articles remain searchable in our dated news archive. Their direct links, sources and historical context are retained; previous claims are not quietly altered to make old news appear current.
How automation is used
Headlines are collected automatically from public publisher feeds on a fixed schedule. Collection is not publication: nothing appears as an Unfinished News record until it has passed editorial approval and our sourcing checks, including dated earlier context and linked primary sources. Each record shows when it was published and, if changed, when it was updated.
Commentary
Commentary is labeled. It may be forceful, but factual assertions should be traceable to source material. Predictions are not outcomes. Significant errors should be corrected explicitly.
Search interest
Search demand can help determine what people are seeking to understand, but it does not establish significance or accuracy. The intended discovery mix is approximately 70% U.S. and 30% international. Actual results depend on available credible sources and working trend feeds.
Images and social posts
We link to full original public videos and substantial posts when their attribution and context have been checked. Such material demonstrates what someone published or said, not whether the statement is true. Stylized diagrams in a social card are decorative, not a substitute for sourced numerical graphics.
Editorial contact and corrections
This is a developing independent publication. Before public launch, the publisher must add an identifiable editorial contact address, correction policy contact, and publisher details. This build does not invent credentials or claim a staffed newsroom.
